Beautiful

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.
Audrey Hepburn

Love this quote. It’s what’s on the inside that counts not the outside!

Sorry this is soo late it was supposed to post automatically but didn’t!

Roads by Rebecca

This is a poem by a good friend of mine Rebecca. She is an AMAZING poet and is trying to get published. I wish her all the luck in the world. Here is one of her poems-

Roads

The road goes ever on and on,
This road that is my life,
A hard road that leaves blisters on my feet,
With a harsh sun beating down on my back,
With no horizon and twists and turns everywhere,
It is easy to get lost on my road.
But sometimes, I meet someone,
Someone who provides some shade from the heat,
But they are small shadows,
I am gone,
They are gone,
Far too soon,
I am on the road again.
My road goes ever on and on.

Wisdom begins in wonder. -Socrates

I wonder if this is true. I believe it is do you?

Chains by Lauren Halse Anderson book review

Ok, I lied. So I said my next book review would be for The Book Thief. But I had to write a blog post about Chains for my school blog (http://7thgraders.edublogs.org/). So I combined the two. The Book Thief review will come shortly, be patient!

Chains by Laurie Halse Anderson, is about a girl named Isabel who is a slave during the revolutionary war. Her master died and set her and her sister Ruth free. Though the lawyer that has her old master’s will is missing. Her word means nothing, so she and Ruth are sold to a tory ( loyalist) family. Isabel knows what she deserves, she saw the will and read it to. How will she get her self and Ruth to safety? Will she get them to safety? What about the new boy she met at the docks? What will happen to him and his patriot master? Find out the answer to all these questions and more, in Chains by Laurie Halse Anderson.

Chains

I have mixed feelings about Chains by Lauren Halse Anderson. I didn’t love the story but I also didn’t hate it. I didn’t love her writing style but I again didn’t hate it.  It wasn’t my favorite but at some points I couldn’t put it down. I think for me it was a little bit predictable. Which kind of ruins a book. If you like  historical fictions I would definitely suggest it as a great book for you to read. Though if you’re like me and on the edge about historical fictions, I don’t suggest it. I enjoyed it but wouldn’t read it again. It was told from Isabel’s point of view which was interesting, but she wrote in half old English which was annoying. But if you like that kind of stuff I would definitely read it. On my scale of 1-10 (1 being bad and 10 being fantabulous) I would give it a 4.5.  It’s not on my hate list but not on my faves list! So basically, I have mixed feels about Chains by Lauren Halse Anderson.

So I saw this quote on my friends status and fell in love with it! The impossible can always be done! Believe in your self and others!

All the fixins’

Jeez I’m bad. I was away on a school trip with no technology  from last Tuesday to last Friday. So I didn’t get a chance to post anything since before that I was packing and after that I’ve been spending time with family and been nonstop busy! So I’ve got a post today with all the fixins’.

gone to school

To start of this overdue post, I am SO thrilled I just exceeded 100 followers on I’m Thinking Happy! I have a total of 106 followers (at the moment). It feels like it was just yesterday I was overjoyed getting 50 followers (even though that was October 12, 2013)! I want to thank all of my followers for helping me get this point and being so awesome! I want to shout out to my parents for being my first followers and always reading my blog (also for giving me life but that’s another post). I would also like to shout out “armerando” and “afisherman2013” for almost always commenting on my blog  and encouraging me to write.  And last but not least I want to shout out to all my new blogging friends, you know who you are if you are one.

So let me know what you think or what you want me to post/not post.  Once again thank you to all my amazing followers. You guys are FANTABULOUS!

I’ll end this post with a quote from the next book I’ll be reviewing –
“A snowball in the face is surely the perfect beginning to a lasting friendship.”
Markus Zusak, The Book Thief

So there’s my post with all the fixins’,  quote and all! I hope, I keep helping keep people thinking happy! Because I’m thinking happy and so should you!

Life is an improvisation

“Everyone is an improv actor, and we’re in a play called Life. And sorry to tell you but there’s no intermission.” – Hannah

I came up with this quote while getting off the bus yesterday! It’s basically saying life is like an improv and you just gotta roll with the punches, and there’s no  break. Your on, the whole show!

Sorry for not posting lately my show’s been running over-time with homework and softball! But I have a post that should be ready by Friday and one for hopefully Monday! I see more book reviews in this blog’s future!

P.S.

I had a birthday since I lasted posted and am now a teenager! Just thought you might like to know!

All the beauty…

“Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy” – Anne Frank

I think this is a great quote. I agree with Anne. I feel that too often people only see the dark and not the light.  If you have not read a Diary of a Young Girl I would recommend it. It’s not very fast past in the middle but it’s still a good story and it’s a true story. It is the diary of Anne Frank. Recommend quotes below.

Experience is…

Experience is not what happens to you; it’s what you do with what happens to you. – Aldous Huxley

I believe this quote to be true. I can’t explain it I just know it is. Trust me I tried writing examples to explain it more clearly but it didn’t work. So this is one you have to figure out on your own. Do you have any thoughts on this quote? Comment them below:)

P.S. It’s a month until my birthday!

I never have to live without you…

If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day so I never have to live without you. – A. A. Milne

The main reason I love this quote is because when I was little (like 5 years old) I always thought about love in that way. I mean I always said, I hope my mom, my dad, my brother and I would die at the same time so none of us would need to live with out  the others. I felt that way because I loved them so much I could not dream of a world with out them. I have known them my whole life and don’t know life with out them. So I guess it’s more a fear my 5 year old self had. Now a little bit older I understand that fear of loss more then I did when I was younger. So I guess what I’m saying is I understand this quote. Do you get it?
