…..and so should you!

Happy Holidays

The holiday season is upon us. It has come so quickly and will soon be gone. Ever year I make Christmas gifts for my family. They have varied from bookmarks to ornaments. They are each personalized for each person and hand-made/decorated by me. I enjoy doing this. But it’s a lot of work. This year I was so busy I found it hard to fit it into my schedule. But I did. I’ll wait till after Christmas to reveal what I made this year since I haven’t given all of mine out.

He's Mean One...

He’s A Mean One…

For years my family has done a secret Santa gift exchange. The cousins pick from the cousins’ hat and the adults pick from the adults hat. There’s normally a money limit to keep it fair. But the last two years we haven’t gotten around to it. This year us cousins did it our selves. The oldest of us, Veronica, did all the planing and hosted the exchange. So last week we all went to her house for pizza and gift giving. My lovely cousin Kelly had me and gave the best gifts. I received lip balm, a bath bomb, bubble bath, nail decorations, creams and hair chalk!Β  I couldn’t have asked for better gifts so, thanks you to Kelly! I picked my cousin Mitchell. I got him a rubber-band shooter, a head scratcher-thing and bacon flavored toothpaste. After the gift giving and game playing most cousins departed but a few of us stayed to watch The Conjuring. It was a very fun night that lasted into the morning!

My gifts from Kelly!

My gifts from Kelly!

So I just wanted to put something out there in case I forget to later. I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year! And if you don’t celebrate Christmas, happy whatever your holiday might be!

Tell me, do you do a secret Santa in your family or make gifts? Tell me what you got/gave or made!Β  Comment below πŸ™‚

β€œIt takes ten times as long to put yourself back together as it does to fall apart.” – Finnick Odair

This is one of his best quotes (yes, I know he is a fictional character). It is true, falling apart is easy. It’s coming back together that’s the hard part.

“I’m not crazy my reality is just different than yours” – The Cheshire Cat

This is a quote from Alice in Wonderland. I love this quote. It totally applies to me and my craziness!

“Your value doesn’t decrease based on someone’s inability to see your worth.”
– Unknown

I’veΒ  seen this a couple of times and I love it! I think people forget this and start caring to much about what other people think! This quote states its meaning well!

Sup bro

Though I may call many of my friends bro (“Sup bro”, “No bro”, “Yo bro” and any sentence I can add bro into), I only have one brother. Noah. He is two and a half years older than me. We have your average brother-sister relationship. If I say,”Hi Noah” at school, he says, “Shut-up midget.” or just the plain “No”. Although that doesn’t make much sense because I am taller then him. Now his words might sound, lets say, mean. But if you know him and speak his language, you’ll get it. Now I’m not fluent in it but I know that things that he says like “Shut-up midget” really means “Please be quiet, my dear sister” and when he says, “Hannah has no friends, it means “Hannah, I’m proud of how many friends you made at school”. Then there is my personal favorite:

Me: “Good night Noah, I love you!”

Him: “Yeah, bye”.

What he is really saying is, “I love you too, good night!”. So maybe it’s not every brother-sister relationship, but its ours. And I love it! I love him! November 15th, 15-years ago my “Dear” Brother Noah was born.

So Happy late birthday Noah. I love you!

Happy Thanksgiving Y’all

Happy late Thanksgiving! I’m thankful for many things and people,Β  including my family and friends, the wonderful life I get to live and all the amazing books I’ve been reading (more book reviews coming soon!)

“People often forget that kindness is free” – Unknown

I couldn’t find who this quote was by so if you know, let me know! But how true is this? People so often forget that holding the door for someone else or smiling at someone, can make that person’s day. Yes, you don’t always get a thank you or a smile back, but I think it is still worth the shot!

“Keep your eyes on the stars, and your feet on the ground.” – Theodore Roosevelt

So true! Think big but, stay reasonable! This is a great quote!

“Do it with passion or don’t do it at all” – Anonymous

I wish I knew who said this, because I love it and I want to give them credit for it! Give everything you do your all or don’t bother doing it! Love this!

β€œA rose can never be a sunflower, and a sunflower can never be a rose. All flowers are beautiful in their own way, and that’s like women too. ” – Miranda Kerr

I love this quote soo much! It’s so true. It’s a great analogy, because that’s not the I would have thought of it but it fits the part perfectly!

P.S.

If my followers haven’t noticed or you are new to my blog, I’m doing a Wednesday quote. If you have a favorite quote, comment it and I’ll add it to my list of future quote posts!
