I’m not crazy…

“I’m not crazy my reality is just different than yours” – The Cheshire Cat

This is a quote from Alice in Wonderland. I love this quote. It totally applies to me and my craziness!

Sup bro

Though I may call many of my friends bro (“Sup bro”, “No bro”, “Yo bro” and any sentence I can add bro into), I only have one brother. Noah. He is two and a half years older than me. We have your average brother-sister relationship. If I say,”Hi Noah” at school, he says, “Shut-up midget.” or just the plain “No”. Although that doesn’t make much sense because I am taller then him. Now his words might sound, lets say, mean. But if you know him and speak his language, you’ll get it. Now I’m not fluent in it but I know that things that he says like “Shut-up midget” really means “Please be quiet, my dear sister” and when he says, “Hannah has no friends, it means “Hannah, I’m proud of how many friends you made at school”. Then there is my personal favorite:

Me: “Good night Noah, I love you!”

Him: “Yeah, bye”.

What he is really saying is, “I love you too, good night!”. So maybe it’s not every brother-sister relationship, but its ours. And I love it! I love him! November 15th, 15-years ago my “Dear” Brother Noah was born.

So Happy late birthday Noah. I love you!

Happy Thanksgiving Y’all

Happy late Thanksgiving! I’m thankful for many things and people,  including my family and friends, the wonderful life I get to live and all the amazing books I’ve been reading (more book reviews coming soon!)

Kindness is free…

“People often forget that kindness is free” – Unknown

I couldn’t find who this quote was by so if you know, let me know! But how true is this? People so often forget that holding the door for someone else or smiling at someone, can make that person’s day. Yes, you don’t always get a thank you or a smile back, but I think it is still worth the shot!

Passion…

“Do it with passion or don’t do it at all” – Anonymous

I wish I knew who said this, because I love it and I want to give them credit for it! Give everything you do your all or don’t bother doing it! Love this!

A rose…

“A rose can never be a sunflower, and a sunflower can never be a rose. All flowers are beautiful in their own way, and that’s like women too. ” – Miranda Kerr

I love this quote soo much! It’s so true. It’s a great analogy, because that’s not the I would have thought of it but it fits the part perfectly!

P.S.

If my followers haven’t noticed or you are new to my blog, I’m doing a Wednesday quote. If you have a favorite quote, comment it and I’ll add it to my list of future quote posts!

It is our choices…

It is our choices that show who we truly are, far more than our abilities.

This is by Dumbledore from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Yes, I know he is a fictional character but it is so true. You are not what you have, you are what you do with what you are given.  I love this quote, I used it in my autobiography.

A fishes abillity to climb a tree…

Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.

This is by Albert Einstein. I personally have always loved this quote. It’s true in many different cases. Believe in some one, even if they don’t believe in them selves.

A Proud Friend

So I have seen so many post about being a proud mother or a proud father or a proud grandparent. Well I’m none of those things.  So I thought an appropriate name for this would be A Proud Friend. I think people forget about their friends when it comes to: what to post about. I don’t always think about an achievement of a friend as something to be proud of them for.  But now that I’m spending the time to think about it, I am proud of them. All of them for different things.

At the moment I am over-the-top proud of my best friend, Ava.  She recently started her own blog (Avasworldofava.com) and it is flourishing. She has been posting her FABULOUS drawings, some of which I can’t believe she did, but also her lovely writing. I am proud of her mostly for being runner up for the Poughkeepsie Journal’s Scary Story contest! She is an amazing writer and I am truly proud of her. I am proud of her in every way.

Now, I know I’m twelve, but I know the difference between being “proud” of some one and being “happy” for some one. I was happy for Ava when she discovered that she loved sports (I told her she would). I was happy for her when she started her first blog, and then again when she started her second. BUT I am proud of her for sticking with her third blog. I am proud of all the followers Ava has and every view she gets.  And I am over-the-moon proud that she came in second for the scary story contest (not to mention that I edited it for her!) I am truly proud of my best friend, 10 years in the running.

Ava has been very supportive of me. She is a faithful follower and always comments. She has been there for me when I really needed her. Ava is definitely one of, if not, my best friend. We have seen the best and the WORST of each other. We can fight like a cat and dog, then we can make up and be best friends again. We have a bit of a competitive friendship so this happens often but we’re getting better at letting each other win.  She is an amazing friend, and I can’t wait to see what else I can be proud of her for.

I am also proud/happy for my other friends:  Maddie who came in first in the contest and Ali and Alex who got Honorable Mentions. All of the awards my friends won were under the 6-8 grade division. Our class took up all  the spots for that division. Some of my other friends also made it on to the Poughkeepsie Journal’s site for their story’s covers.  I don’t know if any of you remember, but I posted my scary story (Though the Woods) a while back. I didn’t win anything but I still had fun writing it and I hope you enjoyed it.

We accept the love…

We accept the love we think we deserve.

This is a quote from Perks of Being a Wallflower. I love it and everything it is saying. If you think your beautiful, you’ll go find someone who is beautiful on the inside and out, and same goes the other way.
